You Are Told You Deserve Better Things Poem by Becca Strat

You Are Told You Deserve Better Things

Your told you deserve better things
A kiss a hug a glance
And maybe even a chance
Your told you deserve better things
Someone who listens and cares
And not a mother drunk on the stairs
You are told you deserve better things
Someone to love and trust
And not an old teddy bear gathering dust
You are told you deserve better things
Like friends and a life
And not the feeling you have been stabbed with a knife
You are told your desreve better things
But the truth is you don't
So you refuse to listen to them you just wont
