You Are Special Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

You Are Special

Rating: 5.0

You are special
- - - - - - - - - -
With each day that passes
Brings you to faux pas
For faith, hope, trust
All seem not in positive light
And you call them as your guilt
You are circumscribed
You are defined
Not by you but by others
You don't see the whole picture
Only fragments stitched together
By those to you inimical
Hence less significant is your inner voice
And more significant is what say people
But my dear, widen your perspective
And see small actions and manners
Becoming more understandable
See your good qualities
See your potential
Don't be misled into believing
That you lack all
And remember God's definition of us
Of course the best of all
He called us ‘daughters and sons'
Made in His own image and likeness
Thus we become self-respecting and dignified
And are able to to walk with confidence
When the path becomes slippery
He holds our hand
When our steps falter
He steadies us
When we become negative about ourselves
His grace fills us with reassurance
Next time when someone
Dismisses you as useless and not up to it
You can tell him to take a chill pill
For to me your are always special

Deep and powerful write with inspiring lines to believe in ourselves and not care what negative people say, in God's eyes we are all special!

A very inspirational write for a anybody with low self esteem! In fact there is not a single soul who is absolutely worthless or any one who is perfect! There may be variations in the level of capabilities and talents between one man and another! There is actually no reason for one to boast of or another to feel very low as we are all children of God and as He doesn't discriminate between His children! I love this inspirational write and give you top marks, Deepak!
