You Are My Sister Poem by Naison Nyaunzwi

You Are My Sister

Oh, there you’re
Cana’s image but flesh and blood
Will you stand by me always; I adjure
You’re what’s left of me after the Flood
A soul I shared from birth
You stood up for me when times play unfair
I wrote it down even though I held my breath
None matter but joy thrive life in my pride’s lair
You a heart I keep ‘till death
A star that shines my way through life
A saviour I will call upon when it gets tough
You represent life to me, more than anything
You never forget me when times got rough
You are my everything
YOU ARE MY SISTER, my everything
