You And Me Poem by Mohammad Akmal Nazir

You And Me

Who is immortal you or me?
Certainly none,
Neither you nor me
nor anyone else,
Then why behave like immortals?
The truth remains forever,
It is immortal,
While falsehood is bound to perish,
Then why feel proud of it?
Let us leave this game of
Proud and humiliation,
And be true to each other.

I understand exactly what you are saying, people do act immortal everyday, they feel they are invincible that nothing can touch them, especially young people. Very good observation.
