You And I Poem by Sandra Feldman

You And I

Rating: 5.0

It all comes together,
You and I,
Once upon a time,
Love, did satisfy,
But, a pearl in the oyster,
And an ocean apart,
Was there, and you know it,
Right from the start,
Today, I just whimper,
And call out your name,
My life, just a shadow,
A flickering flame.

Sandra Feldman I swam in your poem, just was about to drown, when the very purpose of your writing made me fight on. What a brilliant poem.
