You alone like a ship full of people
You family children your friends
Your guests and relatives passer bys on board
You carry them you sail and they sail your wave
They love you admire you
They would like to help
But they do not know
How you carry them how you sail
And your wave they don’t know
They don’t know how to sail

You alone like a ship full of the world
They fill you from the land they drag you to the land
Too heavy you measure the depth to the bottom
And cry for the ship-bird wings to measure the sea

You alone like a ship full of everything
Your sugar and salt your water and wine
Your luggage and SOS boats
You drag them you sail and they dive your wave
They have you when you have them
Under the deck and in the cabins when you count them
And they don’t know how you carry them how you sail
And they don’t know your wave
Your wave how to dive
You alone like a ship full of shipwreck
Too heavy and slow the salvage of the open sea
Spat out from the bay mouth onto the voyage
Lonely little boats follow you like sea drops

Ti sam kao brod prepun ljudi
Tvoje porodice djece prijatlja
Rođaka gostiju prolaznika na palubi
Nosiš ih jedriš tvoj talas oni jedre
Oni te vole oni ti se dive
Oni bi htjeli da ti pomognu
Ali ne znaju kako nosiš ih kako jedriš
Ni talas tvoj kako da jedre

Ti sam kao brod prepun svijeta
Što s kopna puni te i kopnu vuče te
Pretežak mjeriš dubinu do dna
Vapiš za krilom brod ptice more da premjeriš

Ti sam kao brod prepun svega
Tvoje soli i šećera vode i vina
Tvojih kofera i spasičlačkih barki
Vučeš ih jedriš tvoj talas oni poniru
Oni te imaju kad imaš ih
U potpalublju u kapinama kad brojiš ih
I ne znaju kako nosiš ih kako jedriš
Ni talas tvoj kako da poniru

Ti sam kao brod prepun brodoloma
Pretežak trom premalen za pučine
Iz duplji zaliva ispljunut na put
Male same barke ko kaplje morske prate te
