You Poem by Ronald Chapman

You

At sunrise,
Opening my morning eyes,

Turning to look around,
Seeing an empty room,
Where are you?

Seeing cloudy sunrise skies,
Hearing ocean waves,
Missing you,

No more rainbows,
Only shining dreams from my past,
That I try to hold onto,

I still pretend,
You're still here by writing love letters
Mailed to you in my dreams.

But memories fade away,
Like bright rainbows, after the rain,

Leaving me,
With only blue skies,
But no you.

You
