You Poem by Austin Jones

You

Rating: 5.0

Toys
Clothes
A Christmas list
even if i had it all
all i really want
is you
i
miss
the talks
the hours of text
the precious moments
when i saw you face to face
and you
cared
and noticed
and recognized
me
is it worth it
the hole
in my chest
says yes
that all
i really want
is you
you
are beautiful
everything
about
you
inside
out
you are so precious
as the last ounce of gold
on this planet we call home
Oh!
wondrous beauty
splendid
awe striking
and yet
i cannot
feel you out
how do you really feel
towards
me
are those merely words
so that that lonely hanger-on
does not suffer?
for i suffer more
with this not knowing
than if i could pick up
the remains
of my
shattered
heart
in pieces
at your feet
for then i would
know
or
if we
could be
us
we
one
then i
in my jubilation
would be unmatched by
any
in this world
in my
doting and caring
loving and trusting
affections
but i cannot really know
for you
i cannot read
like the others
and i
love
you
if i got
all of those trivial
worldly playthings
all i really want
is you
you
beautiful
amazing
you
