Yesterdays Reflections Poem by Samantha Campbell

Yesterdays Reflections

Reflections of
yesterdays gone
faded dreams
turned to screams

slight whispers
left of what
used to be

Memories

Echoes of
how things
came to cease

tip toeing
on satin
streams

Remembering
clock ticks
flittering
faint glitters
jitters the
little things

Resting on
the breast
of eternity

Grasping
to those
memories

Whispers
of how things
used to be

Used to be

Completely
time
you
tease

Counting
forward
and down
simultaneously
non-existent
yet in this instant
I feel your creep

What mystery

Even until the end
you contain ambiguity

Masking your facts
in obscurity

Leaving me
reminiscent
yet still wondering

What does
destiny have
in store for me

As thoughts
process of
the past's
finer things

Sunrises
to sunsets
10,592 days of
pondering

Wandering
in the wastelands
of the mind

Framing my emotions
setting up for no escape

Stealing seconds
back from time only to
realize that the
transference
of time in this
dimension's
dimensions
doesn't
equate

So
I wait

As time
comes for me

Taunting me

Haunting me

Stalking me

Through those
whispers

Those
effervescent
memories
