Yesterday's News Poem by Francis Duggan

Yesterday's News

Rating: 5.0

Yesterday's news it is old news today
And life it goes on and time it is ticking away
And time for none of us it never does wait
And the one seen as a loser none do celebrate
Of yesterday's paper most copies are sold
And yesterday's top story today seen as old
The breaking news stories newspapers do sell
The newspaper magnates from such do quite well
Few things in life as we know seem to last
Yesterday's gone it is now in the past
Though to the father of time we eventually must bow
We only can hope to live in the now
Yesterday's news it is old news today
And the clock on our lives it is ticking away.
