Yesterday's Lost Heartbeat Poem by A Waltz For Zizi

Yesterday's Lost Heartbeat

She tore the heart of every beast that held her hand,
and walked on, without a tear spilled,
coming to stripp me too, to the bone.

When everyone else kneels down
she stands up, above the gods we create
in the bibles we write.

'No one comes down from the sky,
in the aid of a broken heart.'
the words that shadow her smile,
I cannot take them away
for these words are pain.

In the night that falls at her feet
my dreams, unfolded, stretch for her lips
like the branches of trees
stretch for the blue sky.

No sight of ever reaching them,
no use of trying, they say.

I feel that it's wrong,
to follow another's advice
in something that concerns my love
so I keep her in my poem tonight.

But she runs out of my arms
of my bed
of my room
of my life,
even out of my dreams.

Maybe I'm too caught in this fantasy.
Maybe I should run too, outside of this room.
