Yesterday Night Poem by Nicholas Peter

Yesterday Night

I should have,
Made that move last night,
I would wished to have my hands,
On your waist,
Absorbing the moment,
But I didn't.

I looked at you,
My nerves overtook,
My anxiety joined us,
And the moment was passed.

I left,
On a soft empty parting kiss,
A small touch of the hands,
A half-finished evening.
