Yesterday
A blur of dark shades
Yesterday
A fight with sharp blades

I felt a little depressed
But then I saw you
I was suddenly impressed
How the sky turned blue

I’ve known you for quite some time
But yesterday
It was as if I saw you the very first time

Yesterday
Darkness turned so bright
Yesterday
I found a new light

Your hair gleaming in the sun
I couldn’t look away
Your smile making my heart run
I truly had to stay

I’ve known you for quite some time
But yesterday
It was as if I saw you the very first time

Yesterday
I only remember you
Yesterday
I knew what I can do

I felt you sitting there
wanted to kiss your lips
pretty lady so fair
my soul made strange flips

It was as if I saw you the very first time
And now I honour you with this rhyme
Thought of you all day
Even if I didn’t say
