Yesterday
for you dear
Yesterday the sea was grey
today it is bright blue
Yesterday the sands were grey
today of golden hue
Yesterday the people were sad
today they seem happy and glad
Yesterday no birds did sing
today they trill as they spread wing
Yesterday was filled with gloom
today the sun has filled the room
