Yellow Poem by Daphne Grant

Yellow

Rating: 5.0

A little touch of colour
More delicate than a spider's web
That hangs arrayed with dew.
Apon the orchard gate,
Frail bloom, that with its colours burn
Announces spring has just returned.

Birds chorus it in every tree,
leaves busily unfolding
Every minute thier progress
Into summer moulding.

I saw with surprise
Daffodils bouncing in the wind
I lingered on their beauty
With delight I couldn't hide
A mysterious thing
The return of spring.
