Ever good is God
Gladly has He guided
And guarded
Us unto another sparkling
New Year
In His storehouse
Also are lots of goodies
For all and sundry
Desiring that each
Buys some measure
Of these
Without paying a dime

The windows of heaven
Are open to pour
The obedience of Abraham
The acknowledged friend
Of God
The virtue of Sarah
The astuteness of Jacob
The divine favour that
Followed Joseph
The commitment of Moses
The spirit of good report
And its prize
In Joshua and Caleb
The worship spirit in David
The apple of God's eyes
The wisdom and wealth
Of Solomon

The doors of heaven
Are open to unleash
The strength of Sampson
The excellent spirit in Daniel
The determination and favour
Of Esther
The loyalty and dedication
Of Ruth
The integrity and forthrightness
Of Samuel
The honour that located Mordecai
At the gate
The endurance of Job

The gate of heaven
Is open to release
The transformation of Peter
The humility and blessing
Of Mary, the mother of Jesus,
The spirit of service
In Mary Magdalene
The zeal and selflessness
In Paul
The sacrificial spirit of our
Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ
And the enduring love of our Father,
God Almighty,
A glorious and gracious year
Of blessings and favour
This year is
For us all who believe
Therefore let someone say
A big 'Amen'.
