October twenty sixth, in the year eighteen eighty eight, the late Father John Blowick was born in Belcarra, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Ireland.As a student and a newly ordained priest, he was inspired by God to set his gaze on China and The Far East. Out of that great vision, the whole Columban Missionary Venture started and developed to bring 'fullness of life' to the ends of the earth to all people and all nations.
