Yamine Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Yamine

Rating: 4.5

Add second to second,
Add minute to minute,
Add hour to hour,
Add day to day,
Add month to month,
Add year to year,
Mouth, month!
To read my poems and to learn from them;
For, your bed is too short for you to strech up yourself.

Yamine, yam, may, Amin, in, aim, mine, Yaw, main, man, an, main;
To anthenticate your financial mystery!
And to refresh yourself on the 7th Day by resting.
Main, aim!
The covering is too narrow to wrap yourself;
Main, Amin!
To let the grain be grinded to make bread for you;
But, listen to the words of the wise and hear my voice!
For, out of philosophy came faculty.

Written credentials,
Out of philosophy came Degrees;
And, the power to overcome sin is the law!
But, the greatest among you should always be a servant to all.
Yam, may!
The sting of sin is death;
But, the power to overcome is the law;
And, my poetry had recommended me already to the world,
Writing to bring peace to all than, with the bullets of war.
