Y.O.Y.O. Poem by CarolAnne Spalding

Y.O.Y.O.

Rating: 4.0

You're on your own
...that's exactly what you said
When I dared to speak the truth
As I perceived it in my head

You're on your own
...a magician's wand cannot erase
The lies you swore as truth
But couldn't say straight to my face

You're on your own
...enough games you used to play
But what more is there to do
When there's nothing left to say?

You're on your own
...for I will not play the fool
Don't disrespect me as a woman
I clearly stated, that's my rule

You're on your own
...I have no doubt, you do not care
But as you turn and walk away
Don't come back, hell, don't you dare!

Very straight forward and strong statements. The title is eye catching.
