Y... Garbage Man Poem by Aufie Zophy

Y... Garbage Man

Rating: 5.0

Become a garbage man
Every day, just for a minute
Search for some litter
Pick up some garbage
Where ever you can

Don't stoop down.
Not good for the back
Just sit on your heels
Stay squatted and look up
It gives you a special perspective

Pick up a hand full
Walk to the bin
Not the nearest
The walking is exercise
Good for your body

So, become a garbage man
It can give you perspective
It is good for your body
It is good for the world
Just a hand full per day.

Note:

Garbage men really deserve ou full respect.

I got the idea to write this piece when I was picking up a handful of garbage from the beach. I thought if there more people picking up garbage than people throwing garbage, littering would no longer be a problem.

I hope in this poem there is nothing disrespectful of garbage men. They really do a great job en deserve our respect as much as doctors and lawyers deserve our respect (as indicated in the comments by unwritten soul below)

A garbage man knows everything about his plot, while doctors most of the time, not..Thank you for this poem, yes the people who work hard those are the ones who should be looked up with a greatest respect. Without the garbage man we could not survive.

Be a garbage man is a noble job that always forgotten to praise them as high as professional job. I would say no job in this world, even a very small job is not important to each other, because if no one do like them, who else and how we can manage things around? so i believe in many jobs we should not label who is great who is lower grade...after all we do for life, and i see the garbage man is much way better than inherited rich people who lazy and stay love to be unemployment..because they learn how to survive using all part of their body, their struggle for every cent, every sweat and tears flows from duct..can we find a spirit from them, yes we can...they are inspiring to show it doesnt matter how and why life treat us just keep survive and no surrender_Unwritten Soul

If we can truly apply this in our communities, all of us...the world can be a better place for everyone, we can learn to notice and understand our mere differences and respect each other regardless of skin colour, age or financial status......the little good you can do will surely rub off to others...Unwritten soul, powerful comment man..ha ha! Hans, superb poem my friend.
