X’ians Poem by Dr John Celes

X’ians

Destroy, you may, the temples of the Lord;
Raze down, you may, the places of worship;
Bring down, you may, the churches and steeples;
The Holy Spirit dwells within X’ians!

You persecute the Christians of the globe;
You desecrate their sacred book – Bible;
You break their sanctified statues revered;
Their faith will stay despite the devils’ works!

You take away their basic rights in life;
Deny, you may basic amenities;
You put them within jails for no reason;
Christ Jesus, Saviour is their refuge, strength!

Threaten, you may the Christians upon earth;
Ill-treat their families at work and homes;
You legislate anti-Christian statutes;
Nothing deters their verve or nerve to live!

One living God is God of all Christians;
The God of goodness abhors abortions;
Abetting murder in the womb is sin;
You’ll pay the price by going down to hell!

No sculptor destroys his loved creations;
No builder ruins erections made new;
No ryot burns his field of sprouted crop;
No parent’s heart dare kill the unborn child!

All mortal sinners will get punishments;
Plagues and pestilences could strike their land;
The penitent could escape God’s fair rod;
The living God is pro-life from the start!

The lack of prayers brings us sufferings;
Less godliness is cause of all our woes;
One’s conscience helps decide all things aright;
‘The worldly-wise can’t keep their souls in grace! ’

Our life on earth must buy eternity;
A sinful soul can’t enter God’s abode;
Let leaders bring not God’s wrath on their lands;
Pray that your land and people are God-spared!
