Writing, My Friend Poem by Emily Dennis

Writing, My Friend

Rating: 4.0

Writing, my friend, is safer, somehow
Because my pen cannot stutter like my lips do,
And words get stuck in throats,
Not fingertips; you can't stumble
On paper trails on blue lines
Because writing is definite and clear
And no-one can tell if I am laughing
Or crying,
Through written words alone.
