Writer’s Block Poem by Shirene L smith

Drawing a blank and I feel the need to write
I must get a written poem out of me by tonight
The energy is there but my thoughts are scattered
So many different topics, so many things that matter
A couple more bars and my goal to write will be obtained
I have now written this poem and the night still remains
I can’t say this poem has satisfied my urge
I can still feel soulful energy in me pulse and surge
I am going to leave it all alone, nothing more to do
I have made my attempt and the result is you.
