Would Fragrance Stay? Poem by Rm. Shanmugam Chettiar

Would Fragrance Stay?

Wanting to live after my death,
I dropp children as my copy.
They'll carry the flag I hoisted.
The chain must continue down below,
Which, not in my hand, can break down
With my ardent wish aborted.
It is like flowers withering
With the hope that their fragrance stays.
