World War One Poem by Lee Fones

World War One

a pleasant sergeant major
during world war one
did his battalion a favour
polished medals so they shone

he loved his young battalion
as he was very proud
fought against the rebellion
in a jordanian town

there was much bloodshed
some died upon the ground
some men were dead
others fooled around

with arab revolt exposed
by remains of sergeants crewe
some arab revolt decomposed
back home they all went phew
