World So Perfect Poem by Vera Sidhwa

World So Perfect

I Imagined

I imagined the world so perfect
Imperfect as it was.
The non-troublesome it could be
But that is not what I got.

My enthusiasm from childhood
Started to fade away.
A condition called delusion
Made my day.

But the Void within
Cried without
That the happiness
Made a loud shout.

The world was now a happy place
From within, if not from without.
The place inside was controllable
Happiness it was.
