What each writes leads to
An outline of a poem
You’ve thus created
A few poets on the spot.
Everyone’s a poet inside
True, it’s not a surprise
Knowing what a poem’s
Helps one to create one.
Poetry opens the mind
Poetry lets one unwind
Poetry enables one to find
Secret of whisper of the wind.
Great poets of the past
Left us a treasure of their work
Let’s read and appreciate
The beauty of all their effort.
It’s World Poetry Day today
It’s time to spring forward
To bring in a ray of hope
For real progress and peace.
