World Of Ice Poem by Marilyn Lott

World Of Ice

Rating: 2.8

Sparkling in the wonderful world of ice
Seemed to stop the earth in its tracks
A beautiful frozen transformation
And that’s where everything was at

Cold, so cold it seeped into your bones
Your breath floated in the icy chill
But the magnificent beauty surrounded
For a winter postcard it would fulfill

Humans and beasts alike could not
Go about their daily schedule, you see
Still, so still this icy world was
No one could escape, no one could flee

Captured in this world of ice then
As though it was chained to a fence
A fence laden with solid ice
The world was totally in suspense

The sun rose and then it set
And for days and days it stayed
A beautiful winter wonderland
Truly a Christmas card was displayed!
