Work-Life Balance (Senryu) Poem by Sandra Martyres

Work-Life Balance (Senryu)

Rating: 5.0

A work-life balance
Management gurus spiel meant
To placate the staff

In truth this remains
A plain and simple gimmick
Just another trick

Jack Welch too did say
Work-life balance dreams display
Lack of ambition

Take few months to analyse and find an issue and then follow it up with the reasons why it can't be solved. I was dreaming of being one, but now Lady you have poured cold water on them.

Thanks Subroto for pointing out the spelling error... I am a bit surprised how it crept in, in the first place.

So the work atmosphere of the office spills over....All the same. SOME balance is still required, in spite of of what Welch (not Welsh) says..... Cheers. Subroto

Work-life balance exists for me in the land of unicorns...very nicely done. I really liked the choice of words and the irony behind them. Thanks, roshni.

From my childhood I remember that all work and no play made Jack a dull boy. Now I am retired, all play and no work does not make Bob a dull boy, because what he does to fill his life is fun. Work! I can do without it. How can doing something you enjoy be work. There are no chores in my life, just enjoyable moments. Great write Sandra. Regards Bob
