Work In Progress Poem by Hubert J. Humperdink

Work In Progress

Rating: 0.5

A panicked confusion
Like your first night on
a new stretch of road
And somewhere behind
you a synergy of being
Ahead a glistening
horizon of lights

A sound in the dark
Some new tone of thought
Beside your guitar
And the blink of a sparrow like
Soma and sad ruin
Fire and sounds fight

A cold night bleeding through
The rustling trees
A stranger's mantra
He say's 'I've died now
And the road is behind my eyes
And the lights are blurring
Finally I am you'
