Words Poem by Prabal Dev

Words

Again I’ve set out to write because I can’t speak
I prefer to pen my voice than to hear it.
Call it my unsocialness or introvertedness
Or rather a writer’s lust.

Free verses:
(I don’t want to garnish the platter
Keep it simple yet delicious
No continuity yet integrated)

Sometimes I feel very depressed
And very lonely
I don’t know how to console myself
And fail to keep up hope
Forced into gloomy thoughts
No road I see
Impelled to cry…

There are ‘a few’ people who really do understand
My situation and help me cope up
But sometimes, you know, we need ‘someone’ else(ours)
Whose presence and touch and all good words
Can really prevent your hope from slipping.
Someone ‘dear’ to you…

Oh dear!
Sometimes that person gets irritated by
My frequent depression and hopelessness.
And that is unavoidable, for sure.
The person is also a human only.

I know I can do it
Face it, struggle with it
And come out good, pretty good.
I know I have a little time
And a lot to do.
And I believe I can.
But all I need is SUPPORT.

An impulse by the support
And a small external force
To overcome friction for a small amount of time.
From there I would have the required energy
To maintain a uniform motion
Or may accelerate.

A few things are left to say
But more is the anticipation
To hear a few things
‘Just’ a few things dear…
