Words Poem by John Bliven Morin

Words

Angry words were spoken,
How easily did they flow;
A dear friendship broken
By their cruel, thoughtless blows.

Harsh words so quickly sped,
Barbed arrows from my tongue;
Oh, all too easily said,
Not easily undone.

Apologies rebuffed,
They could not pay the cost
Of anger; not enough,
And so, a friendship lost.
