Word Gown… Poem by Emu Getachew

Word Gown…

Rating: 4.1

I woke up this morning dressed in a wedding gown
Jeweled with lexis’s such as vow, companionship and docile
Neck line bejeweled with nouns, pronouns’ and syntaxes’
And the stitches with adjectives and the lining with an apostrophes
This timeless gown is a complete sentence
I must have slither into it in my wake
While inhaling the words of Nizar Qabanni.

This is just outstanding. One of the most well conceived things I have read recently. What an imagination again! There is no mistaking a good poet. GW62
