Woodland Wonders Poem by Gayle Sweeney

Woodland Wonders

Rating: 4.5

In and out of sunlit patches I strolled
Upon a lone, woodland trail
All around me tall lovely trees stood
And the perfume of pine trees sailed.
Magnificent waves of bright, sunny mountaintops
Rose up peacefully
While I crossed happily
Through this sparkling, shimmery sanctuary.
Beyond the trail surrounded by trees
Was a floral, dancing byway
The spot was blessed with sacred, painted blossoms
And warm sunshiny rays.
Who knows what can be encountered suddenly out in the wonderous wild
Where Indian dreams can awaken once again just like in a child!
