Wonderful Memory Poem by Petal A. Beebe

Wonderful Memory

Rating: 2.3

Tiny fingers, curled
Like petals, fragile
In their size,
Tenacious as they
Held mine, the world
Not yet known.

Innocence looked at me
From big trusting eyes
Now young men, free
To make their own way
As they choose
Wonderful the memory
They left with me.

I give thanks to God
For their love as I
Pray to Him, dear God
Be good to them
As they have been
To me.
My sons, now grown men.
