Womans Will Poem by Dave Dunn

Womans Will

Womans Will

Sweet Life I've lost the will for thee
Inconstant hearts hath vanquished me
For ever I have sought to find
One true love - is there such a kind?

Bewitched by ever shifting dames
Behold I do not state their names
Just times are few in lovers' trysts
Mine eyes are covered yet with mists

No more for now I've made my case
Let others pick up on the chase
The fickle change of female amour
Hath left this man ever more dour

So I retreat and hide from all
Women be they short or tall
For in fact they fall too soon
From pedestals as I, do sit and croon

While butterflies emerge to seek
Sunshine's warmth my future's bleak
I'll hide in darker corners still
No more to suffer at woman's will.
