Woman Poem by Michele Rannie

Woman

Rating: 5.0

She will be no more
The little girl peering out from her heart's walls
Asking, will you be my friend
Will you care?

She will be no more
Because, she waded
through the gap between need and logic
And took the shutters off
Saw the lie she absorbed
that behind the distance
was her defect and now
see it is your fear.

She will be no more
Girl, but instead, Woman.

A lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction. Thanks for sharing and do keep it up. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
