Without Television Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Without Television

What did we do without Television,
Without Radio, Books or People too?
Whilst lying in Hospital, sitting in bed,
We could only think about YOU.

What could we do without paper,
Or a Pad on which to write too?
How could we write down our Poetry,
With Praises to what YOU Do too?

What if our Brains could not think?
What if we had not got thoughts?
Or the Gift of Poetry given us
Would our Actions turn out to be nought?

What would we do with the Hours
Lying in our Hospital beds?
Thinking how to Praise YOU,
Or crying in pain instead.

I wish to Laud and Praise YOU,
Grateful for YOUR Aid to me,
Now please ~ Speed YOUR Healing,
So again ~ in comfort I can be.
