Without Me Poem by G J Salgado

Without Me

I wait and listen to hear the locusts at night
Crickets play as they dance in the star's glitter light
Jars of fireflies gather at my lonely feet
Lovely butterflies listen to my heart beat
I wonder if the world would yearn for me
If I didn't exist in this life as someone you couldn't see
It is a morbid feeling to know and be nothing
Grasping at the aching need to be something
So long I have wanted to be what I am not
Spiraling down into everything that you've already forgot

I wonder if the world would yearn for me Well, the world may or may not yearn for you, but remember God loves you, Jennie!
