Within The Mind Poem by Jessica Elizondo

Within The Mind

Your a princess,
with your blood stained dress.
Dance in circles, shine your bright eyes.
Laughter comes from your crooked smile
and all the while people stare, but you don't care.
picking the stuff you don't want in your reality,
making it only yours, no one will take it from you.
darkness soaks in and all you do is shrug.

now doesn't this sound odd? something from a movie?
but that's just it,
so i ask you, 'what is this place? why is everyone just staring and watching you dance with blood on your dress? '
you smile and say 'that would be the case it this were real.'
Questioning her cryptic response I remark, ' but..this is reality.'
'So nieve, ' she she laughing. 'yes, but it is mine.'
