With Time Enough Poem by RAJ NANDY

With Time Enough

WITH TIME ENOUGH

Our astronomers predict, that our eternal
sun,
Will last, only for a billion years more!
When its helium will get all burnt out;
To get transformed into a giant red dwarf,
Extinguishing all life on earth!
Bringing an end to this celestial show!

But perhaps by then,
The indomitable spirit of survival in man,
Would have colonised other planets and
stars,
Having transformed into some better evolved
super human form,
Will continue to inhabit some distant corner
of space and time!

As for me, a fragile mortal of three
dimensional kind,
A billion years is like eternity;
It is no longer illusory, but a reality!
Since I live in milestone years, in
bonzied time;
And yet like the butterfly, have time
enough,
To dance and sing and have my fling,
And write out my will, on the blooming
buds of spring!

the second stanza is too good where you talk of Indomitable spirit of man Will continue to inhabit some distant corner of space and time! .................. It really makes you think beyond the time and space and very beautifully you bring the readers back to present with comparing him to butterfly....And yet like the butterfly, have time enough, To dance and sing and have my fling, And write out my will, on the blooming buds of spring! well done........
