Wishing Well Poem by Edwin Baldwin

Wishing Well

I kept you safe
from harms way
But I don't know…so you say

Children they go they must play

All through the day
and through the night
I was there…. holding you tight

World spins round aint that right

Lost in the dark
can't find my way
Just like a clown…so you say

Children grow maybe someday

Time will only tell
to light your way
But I don't know..who's to say

Wishing well no child's play

come light of day
through all the rain
I can say...stop the pain

O' sing the same not in vain

hands will come
from thin air
you will see...I'll be there

make your wish say a prayer
