Wishing Poem by Desiree Brown

Wishing

I wish I had been a better daughter

I wish none of this had happened

But what's the point of wishing

I can't bring back the dead

I couldn't save her

I couldn't save my mommy

I love you mom...

And always will

But if wishes could come true

I would wish that I could be with you

I'll love you forever

I'll like you for always

As long as I'm living my mommy you'll be

We always had fun

Dancing and Singing like we knew how

Shopping like we had no limit

I know I wasn't perfect

I know I never will

But I really do try mom

As long as I'm living

I'll try for you
