Wishing Poem by Laura Carie Dalton

Wishing

I wish you were here with me.

I want somebody to hold me.

Your hugs are so warm.

I wish I was with you tonight and forever.

Some say I’m obsessed,
I say I’m wishing.

Every night I dream.

Every dream is about you.

In the words of Cinderella,
“A dream is a wish your heart makes.”

I wish my dreams would come true.

My dreams are future reality.

All I want is for you to be mine.

You are the kind of guy I need.

Strong, sweet, helpful, kind, and many others describe you.

You are also in fire for Christ,
What else can I ask for?

You feel out-of-place at Shades,
Just like I do.

We connect in so many ways.

I just wish I could tell you how I feel.

How much I like you.

I guess I’ll just have to keep on wishing.

Yes Lauren keep on wishing and hoping. But first look around. How many of your friends and relatives have jumped too fast at that young love and now regret it. Hold that first romance in your heart. Wait, wait, and then wait. There are so many things you can do when you are just you. Get them done while you still can. Attach yourself to someone and those chances never come again. Who knows maybe there is someone especially wonderful waiting, way down the line, just for you. Now go read my Bloom Of Youth. Adeline
