Wish You Were Here (In Your Room) Poem by White Monkey

Wish You Were Here (In Your Room)

You know I love you
This feeling has never gone away
It's in my heart for a very long time
I was in your room
And you were outside
I wish you came in and told me you love me too
I needed to know
I promise I promise
Nothing would happen
You did come in on my last night (just now!)
To wish me a good night...
I wish you were here (in your room)
And I would tell you
Everything you needed to know about my heart
But then I was careful not to leave a trace
Because it's an one-sided love
So would you please help me
To let go of this love
I'm trying and have been trying
To free myself from you
My heart beat fast every time I see you smile...
I wish you were here (in your room)
Those sleepless nights thinking of you in your room
And you were outside sleeping
You didn't know
I was careful not to leave a single trace...
I wish you were here (in your room)
And I wish I was your love
I wish I could turn back the time
