Wish Poem by Indranil Bhaduri

Wish

Rating: 5.0

I glanced through the broken window,
My mind was coloured dull grey.
My sorrows seemed to build a nest
In my solitary soul astray.

My thoughts seemed to collide
Against each other in a momentary stride
I wondered who I really am,
In the fascinating silver moonlight.

My sudden dreams got ravaged again,
The beauty couldn't impress me,
My heartbeats had come to a rapid standstill
My lips felt kissing the devil.

I cried aloud for the bright sunshine
That made myself illuminated once,
And how I wished to transform again
From a corpse to a life by chance!

I vehemently screamed with my deepest voice
'O Lord! Give me back again,
Those beautiful years I've left behind
And pull me out of this pain! '

I heard the voice from the heavens then
Which blasted in the pitch dark hour, ,
'You were what you were, then and there,
Now change to a colourful flower! '
