Winter Sunsets Poem by Marilyn Lott

Winter Sunsets

Rating: 4.3

There is something about the winter
That truly warms from outside in
I mean the colorful skies that
Seem to erase all sadness, all sin

Reds and yellows and oranges
Like a famous artist would paint
So captivating, I’ll tell you
As special as a godly saint

You can see the dark of objects
The windmill you love so
The trees in semi darkness
Stand out as the sunset glows

The old barn way out yonder
Sure does look mighty pretty
Can you imagine not having sunsets?
Oh my, that would be such a pity

So even though it’s cold outside
So much beauty you still get
There is nothing quite like
Those wonderful winter sunsets!

Couldn't agree more Marilyn, we had a fantastic sunset last night it was just so glowingly red that it looked unreal. By the time I had fetched the camera it was gone. There for just a few seconds, sadly. At least we can capture it in verse. A very nice read I enjoyed it very much. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

There is something about a sunset that wraps around your heart, nearly all artists have to copy them because they cannot create the imagry that mother nature does, lovely poem Marilyn 10 Chris
