Winter Slam Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Winter Slam

Rating: 4.0

Got bright and sunny
Went from cool to hot,
Just when Spring was here
Then it was not;

Winter slammed the
Door again. Even now
Another storm’s
Coming in,

Rain and lots of it.
And of course I had
Just washed the car.
Weather just so bizarre.

Shorts and thongs
Didn’t last long
Now I need a sweater
Till the temps get better

Because again it is cold, as
Winter takes another shot.
Really thought Spring had
Arrived, but, I guess not.

i was going to say this reminds me of winters i spent in new york state until about five winters ago when i moved to california where carolyn lives....i mean to the same state. then i read the poem again and noticed a BIG difference. in n.y.s. it was not winter hitting again with rain. it was SNOW. now that was REAL winter! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! thanks for sharing.
