Winter Rain Poem by Viola Grey

Winter Rain

Rating: 3.5

I want to walk
in this winter rain,
but fear the stab
of your icy breath
burrowing into my skin.

Sweet, summer rain
lulls me to sleep
into welcoming dreams,
while your cold storms
shake me awake,
keep me vitalized.

You are the clouds
darkening my soul,
yet your love
is the thunder
that keeps me alive.

Very nice flow you have given this filled with many emotions at one time, you have captivated in short words what a lifetime filled with such distress has given you... Very well done! ! A ten! ! Bonnie Collins
