Winter Rain Poem by ijlal haider

Winter Rain

Rating: 4.5

surprising cloud goes insane
its winter rain....
calm fog friends with wild drops
buckets of water bought from sea shop
peasants welcome the uninvited guest
pedestrian celebrate the fire fest
branches tenanted by wings crimp
green roads give the spring's glimpse
thunder, wonder it came
its winter rain....

Hello ijlal... Right from the surprising thump of the first line, I knew this was going to be a good one. You flit from scene to scene as a very observant butterfly, soaking up the atmosphere. Perfectly descriptive, which opens my minds eye to a world of possibilities in a winter rain. Beautiful language. Thank you Karen
